HISTORY

Mike Parson attended night classes at the University of Maryland and later the University of Hawaii.

 

He spent six years in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in the Military Police and working up to sergeant.

 

He worked in the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as its first criminal investigator, and served for 12 years.

 

He was first elected to the 133rd District in the Missouri House of Representatives in 2004, and was re-elected in 2006 and 2008.

 

He was also elected to the Missouri Senate in 2010, and won re-election in 2014.

 

He assumed office as Governor of Missouri in June of 2018, and is running for re-election, on the ballot for August 2020.
