Gun Rights

Supported funding to the Department of Homeland Security to bolster defenses along the southern border.

Taxes and Government Spending

Aims to reduce taxes.

Crime and Justice Reform

Aims for stricter enforcement of laws, and wants to fight sex trafficking.

“Sex trafficking is a form of slavery older than the nation itself. The federal government, however, does not have a great track record in fighting it.”

Notable Work:

 

Outspoken supporter of the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA) 

 

Supported the Protect and Serve Act of 2018, making crimes against officers "hate crimes" punishable up to 10 years in prison.

 

Supported the Thin Blue Line Act, allowing the death penalty in the case of murder or attempted murder of an officer.

Health and Safety

Against the expansion of Medicaid.

“Obamacare has failed Missouri families, and politicians who continue to defend this broken system are ignoring the needs of Missouri families.”

Notable Legislation:

 

Opposed the Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act of 2019.

 

Supported funding to battle the opioid crisis.

 

Supported increased access to lower premium plans and the expansion of health savings accounts.

HISTORY

Ann Wagner received a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

 

She worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City and Ralston Purina in St. Louis.

 

She was a local committeewoman in Lafayette Township for nine years, then she became the Chair of the Missouri Republican Party.

 

She was the ambassador for Luxembourg from 2005-2009.

 

She was first elected to the Congressional House in 2013, and is running for reelection to represent Missouri’s 2nd District, on the ballot for August 4th, 2020.
