HISTORY

Blunt earned an MA in History and Government from Missouri State University, and achieved a BA in History from Southwest Baptist University: he later became SBU’s president.

 

He served as Secretary of State of Missouri from 1985-1992.

 

He was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 1996 to represent Missouri’s District 7, and served until 2010.

 

He was elected to the United States Senate in 2011, and won re-election in 2016.
